Program Information
Thank you for your interest in the Seattle City Light Apprenticeship Program. Seattle City Light is looking for employees who learn quickly, are physically fit and bring integrity to a diverse work force.
You can prepare for apprenticeship by maintaining or refreshing the following:
- Math skills (Algebra is required, Geometry and/or Trigonometry would be helpful)
- Knowledge of electrical theory
- Your physical fitness
- Mechanical reasoning
Seattle City Light will be hiring in several apprenticeship categories in the future:
Cable Splicer, Electrician-Constructor, Meter Electrician, Utility Construction Worker, Hydroelectic Maintenance Machinist and
Pre-Apprentice Lineworker
(prerequisite for Lineworker Apprenticeship).
Applications are currently being accepted for the following apprenticeships: Cablesplicer, Electrician Constructor, Meter Electrician, and Generation Electrician Constructor. Please go to the "Application Form" section listed above.
