As part of its work, the Office of Police Accountability suggests changes to SPD policy. To learn more about that work and the important documents guiding it, click the links below:

• Policy Recommendations
  OPA looks for potential gaps in SPD’s rules or training during investigations. When it finds them, it suggests changes. These suggestions are called Management Action Recommendations (MARs).
• Guiding Documents
  These include OPA’s manual, city laws, and union contracts. All of these shape the rules and procedures that OPA follows.
