COVID Updates - Services During Pandemic and Re-Opening

The Fire Marshal's Office is providing all services at this time, with some modifications to align with the Governor's Healthy Washington - Roadmap to Recovery plan approved for King County. Our employees are following safe worksite guidelines and ask our customers to do so as well at their jobsites. Please note: our walk-in counter at 220 3rd Ave S has limited hours and we recommend contacting us by email.

The Seattle Fire Investigation Unit has seven trained and certified fire investigators. The goal for fire investigators is to determine the causes and origins of fires. The investigators collect evidence at the scene and document their findings. The Seattle Police Department uses those findings in their criminal investigation.
