Community Resource Center

A social service hub within the courthouse, the Community Resource Center is a place where those in need can access social services and community support.

All services open to the public. Walk-ins welcome.

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Some services may not be available 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Basic Needs

Emergency Food Assistance

Emergency Feeding Program
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Services Provided:
Nutritional food bags that meet a wide variety of individual needs and provide enough food for two days.

Chemical Dependency Assessments

Center for Human Services
Hours: Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Services Provided: Chemical dependency assessments, counseling services and referrals to treatment options.

Hours: Thursday and Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Services Provided: Chemical dependency assessments, DUI assessments counseling services and referrals to treatment options.

Cowlitz Tribal Health Services
Hours: Thursday, 1:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Services Provided: Chemical dependency/SUD assessments (odd Thursdays), precontemplation in recovery group (even Thursdays), and referrals to case management, deferred prosecution/DUI, and medically assisted treatment options.

DUI Victim's Panel

1st Choice
Hours: 1st, 3rd, and 4th Friday of each month, 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m. (no appointment needed)
Services Provided: Learn about the impacts of DUI related crashes. $50 if court ordered.

Employment Resources

Employment Workshop
Hours: Monday, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Services Provided: Help with job readiness, resume development, interview skills, how to discuss criminal history and more.

Employment Services
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Services Provided: One-on-one assistance and referrals. New job listings weekly.

Food, Cash, and Medical Assistance

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS)
Hours: Monday - Wednesday, Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Services Provided:

  • Applications for DSHS benefits including food, cash and housing assistance (EBT, TANF, HEN)
  • Income verification
  • ID card replacement
  • DSHS review

Public Health - Seattle and King County
Hours: Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Services Provided: Free to low cost health insurance enrollment.

Housing/Homeless Services

Catholic Community Services
Hours: Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Services Provided: Coordinated Entry for All (CEA) Housing Program Enrollment and housing resources.

Downtown Seattle Association
Hours: Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Services Provided: Personalized case management for homeless individuals, job placement, ID replacement assistance and more.

Literacy and Library Services

Seattle Public Library
Hours: Tuesday and Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Services Provided: Access to Internet, books, CDs, DVDs, job resources, sign-up for library card, ESL and computer classes.


Orca Lift
Hours: Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Services Provided: Apply for a reduced fare bus card.

Free Life Skills Workshop
2nd and 4th Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Improve communication, resilience, relationship-building, and goal-setting skills.

Free Self-Awareness Workshop
Hours: 1st and 3rd Wednesday, 8:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Description: Develop greater self-esteem by creating positive change from the inside out

Patronizing Intervention/John's Class
Hours: 4th Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Description: Increase knowledge of the social, health, and legal consequences of prostitution (court-referred only).

Hepatitis Class (includes free viral hepatitis testing)
Hours: 4th Thursday, 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Description: Get tested and learn about HIV/HBV/HCV prevention and treatment from HEP experts.
