News & Updates:

About the Seattle Climate Action Plan

The City of Seattle is updating its Climate Action Plan — a roadmap for how Seattle will reduce pollution, prepare for climate impacts, and build a healthier, more equitable city for everyone. On Earth Day 2025, an Executive Order was issued directing City departments to develop a modernized Seattle Climate Action Plan focused on climate resilience and adaptation, building a green economy, and protecting public health, as well as near-term actions to reduce transportation emissions.

Meeting the climate challenge requires being creative and working together across different disciplines and zones of action. Learn more about the goals and community outcomes driving the Climate Action Plan update
