City Finance Director, Dwight D. Dively, has been in public service for over three decades. He has a wealth of experience in public finance, budgeting, and organizational leadership. Dwight was most recently the Director of the Office of Performance, Strategy and Budget and the Chief Operating Officer for King County, Washington. Previously, Dwight was the Director of Finance for the City of Seattle from May 1994 to March 2010. He is also an affiliate associate professor at the University of Washington.
Dwight holds a Master in Public Affairs from Princeton, a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and he has completed doctoral coursework in civil engineering at the University of Washington. He serves in several community organizations, such as on the board of the Benaroya Hall Music Center and as the regional chair for the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation.
