Technology Matching Fund
The Technology Matching Fund (TMF) program started in 1997. Its goal is to help close the digital divide and build a city where everyone can use technology. Since 1998, the program has given out more than $5 million.
The fund honors the legacy of Bill Wright, a community leader in the Central District. He believed in digital equity and equal chances for all. He also saw technology as a tool to connect people, improve communication, and make communities stronger.
Who TMF Helps
TMF projects are built to support communities that face the biggest barriers to technology. These groups include:
- Low-income households
- Older adults
- People with disabilities
- BIPOC residents
- Immigrant and refugee communities
