Committee Scope

The purpose of the Select Committee on Federal Administration and Policy Changes is to identify changes in the federal government policy that could threaten the safety, security, and funding to the City of Seattle in areas that include, but are not limited to: housing, public safety, transportation, emergency and disaster aid/response, climate change, public health and health care, human and social services, immigration, economic development and small businesses, and education.

Meeting Dates

The Select Committee will meet at City Hall, Council Chambers, unless noted otherwise. The established meeting dates and times are listed below and additional meetings will be scheduled as needed.

Meet the Council

The Seattle City Council establishes City policy through enactment of ordinances (laws) and adoption of resolutions. The City Council also approves and adopts the City's budget. The nine Council members and their legislative assistants are part of the City of Seattle Legislative Department.
