Office for Civil Rights
The Seattle Office for Civil Rights enforces City and Federal protections for fair housing, protection from discrimination, and reasonable accommodation in housing.

Department of Construction and Inspections
The Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections (SDCI) responds to complaints about maintenance problems in rental housing, enforces Seattle's landlord-tenant laws, provides assistance to renters and landlords, administers the Rental Registration and Inspection Ordinance program, and hosts the Renting in Seattle help line.

Office of Housing
The Seattle Office of Housing funds the construction of affordable housing monitors affordable housing providers for compliance with City, State, and Federal funding requirements, provides an affordable housing search tool, and administers programs to help keep existing housing affordable.

Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs
Works to improve the lives of Seattle's immigrant and refugee residents.

Department of Neighborhoods
Provides staff support to the Seattle Renters Commission. The Department also has historic preservation, community outreach, leadership, and neighborhood funding programs.

Seattle Public Utilities
The department to call when you are setting up new water, sewer and garbage accounts, and paying utility bills. They also have utility discount programs and energy efficiency programs for renters and landlords.

Seattle City Light
The department to call when you are setting up new electric accounts, changing electric accounts, paying electric bills. They also have discount programs and energy efficiency programs for renters and landlords.
