These reports briefly summarize the feedback being received by the Seattle Police Department from 9-1-1 callers who have had an officer dispatched to assist them and are later surveyed by telephone.

Vera Institute of Justice Study

This report describes the results of a telephone survey of Seattle residents conducted between May 9, 2003, and July 22, 2003, by the Vera Institute of Justice and the Jackson Organization. The survey was commissioned by the City of Seattle to assess the public’s level of satisfaction with the police department and to identify possible friction points in police-public interactions.

neighborhood policing & Crime survey report

This report presents the results and findings of the 2007 Neighborhood Policing Survey conducted by the City of Seattle Office of Policy and Management based on the Vera Institute's 2003 survey was first conducted in 2003 as a component of the Seattle Police Department’s overall strategy to improve public confidence and trust in the police and enhance police community
relations.

 

Annual ReportS

The Seattle Police Department has been publishing an Annual Report, or (Annual Statistical Report) as far back as the 1920s. Printed copies are available at the downtown Central Library. Digital PDF files are available online from 2000 onwards. These reports contain a yearly summary of crime statistics, arrests data, 9-1-1 responses and personnel statistics.
