Media Credential Requests

Media representatives who are directly employed by agencies of print, television, radio, and electronic media may be issued a Seattle Police Department media credential. These three-year term credentials are only for identification purposes, and may be revoked at any time by the department. They do not confer any special and extraordinary privileges or imply endorsements by the department.

Requests for credentials are fulfilled by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please contact Seattle Police Human Resources at 206 684-0963.  You must bring photo ID and verification of employment (company ID and a verification of employment letter from your employer).

Visiting Us

Prior to your visit during business hours, please let us know as early as possible so that we can advise the lobby security officer of your arrival. The office is located at the Seattle Police Headquarters, 610 Fifth Avenue, 8th Floor, in downtown Seattle. The public entrance is on Fifth Avenue, between James and Cherry Streets.
