NEIGHBORHOOD POLICING PLAN

The Neighborhood Policing Plan calls for expanding SPD patrol with the hiring of new officers during the period 2008-2012. 

CAMERAS in PATROL CARS

Seattle Police has used video cameras in patrol cars since 2002. The idea of using video cameras in patrol car situations to promote officer safety and to provide accountability is supported by both the public and police officers.

Less lethal WEAPONS PROGRAMS
