Piper's Creek Salmon Celebration

Salmon Celebration Need a cure for the Black Friday blues? Why not come to Piper's Creek and see the chum salmon run instead of fighting the mall crowd?

Bring your out-of-town family and friends to Carkeek Park the day after Thanksgiving: Walk off those holiday calories along the banks of Piper's Creek, talk to our Salmon Stewards, and try to see some spawning fish. To give you a little extra incentive we'll also have a kids' crafts table, a carbon coaching booth, salmon-inspired musicians and great local cider, coffee, and cocoa. We'll even have Mighty-O donuts!!!!!!!!

Environmental Learning Center Hours
Tuesday - Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Located in northwest Seattle, this popular park offers extraordinary views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

Years of hard work by neighbors and volunteers have brought salmon back to Pipers Creek in Carkeek Park.

About the Environmental Learning Center

The Carkeek Park Environmental Learning Center (ELC) has been built using sustainable practices to provide additional space for environmental education and stewardship activities and to create additional community gathering/meeting space.
