Donating to Programs or to the Seattle Parks Foundation

If you're a community member looking for other ways to help Seattle Parks and Recreation, such as giving or donating funds, goods or time, we appreciate you. Check this page for ways to support our programs and parks.

The Scholarship Fund

Each year, we receive more applications for financial aid than we are able to fund. With your help, we can offer scholarships to all youth, adults, and families who qualify for a scholarship. Visit Associated Recreation Council (ARC) to learn more or call your local Community Center to give to their local fund.

The Seattle Parks Foundation

Contribute to the quality of life in your neighborhood and invest in green, open spaces. Visit Seattle Parks Foundation to learn more about giving options and donate online.

Donating Goods or Items

For structural items such as playground equipment or non-structural items such as sand for a sandbox, please contact our main help line at PKS_Info@seattle.gov or (206) 684-4075. We will evaluate the request and, if it seems feasible, will consult other staff (such as a landscape architect or structural engineer) as needed. Seattle Parks and Recreation complies with all pertinent standards and safety regulations, especially for children's play areas, so we are restricted in what we are able to use.

For recreational items like board games, ping-pong tables, and sports equipment, please contact your local community center. We cannot accept trees, retail-grade toys for children's play areas, koi, fitness equipment, and furniture.
