Seattle Parks and Recreation 2013 Adult Softball Leagues

Seattle Parks and Recreation Adult Program Coordinator, Antoinette Daniel, will begin contacting 2011 softball team representatives for an invitation to the 2012 League Organizational Meetings, scheduled for the weeks of February  – Mar 7, 2013. New teams are welcome to attend, but are not guaranteed a spot. The TOTAL team fee will be required at the team meeting, or before the date of the team meeting.  You can make payments by cash, check, or credit card.  Teams that miss this deadline will be deferred to the league wait list. At this meeting, we will present and discuss league costs, rules, scheduling, and other pertinent information. Tentative league dates are May – July, depending on the league. Team costs range from $900

WHAT’S NEW FOR 2013

  • The TOTAL team fee will be required at the team meetings, or before the date of the team meetings. This allows us to begin working on schedules immediately, confirm participation of each team, team captains will only need to pay one time, and eliminate our accounts receivable. This is also consistent with what other leagues are doing in and around the Seattle area.
  • There will be a 9.5% Sales Tax applied on team fees.  This is now a requirement and beyond our control.
  • There will be $25.00 charge on team name changes after March 31, 2013.
  • No special game requests allowed.  We will do our best to ensure a solid schedule with equal home/away, early/late games.  After the schedule is drawn, unless there is an error, there will not be special request due to vacations, weddings, etc…This requires re-drawing and re-sending the schedule, resulting in frustration for everyone. If you can’t make the game it will result in a forfeit.
