The City of Seattle's Sustainable Buildings & Sites policy requires new City facilities over 5,000 square feet to attain the Gold level of the US Green Building Council's LEEDTM rating system, plus meet minimum criteria for energy and water efficiency, construction waste recycling, and bicycle amenities.
