Get Involved in the Work of the Public Safety Civil Service Commission

Civil Service relies on the work of commissioners and the awareness of City employees and the public to be effective. We invite you to get involved and support the work of the Public Safety Civil Service Commission (PSCSC) however you can.

City Employees

Current City employees who are covered by civil service may participate in the upcoming 2026 election to appoint a commissioner for a three-year term (2027 - 2029):

  • File for candidacy to serve as commissioner (filing week is October 5 - 9, 2026)
  • Vote in the election (election week is November 2 - 6, 2026)

    • PSCSC election information session - Friday September 18 at 10:00 a.m.  (hybrid, SMT 1679)
    • PSCSC election information session - Wednesday September 23 at noon (remote only)
