Commercial Space Consulting Program
Funded by the Equitable Communities Initiative, the Seattle Office of Economic Development's Commercial Space program offers eligible businesses 10 FREE consultation hours for the following services:
- Advocacy with landlords and/or general contractors
- Development budget preparation
- Kitchen Operations
- Locating a Commercial Space for your business

To be eligible for these services, you must be a for-profit business based in Seattle (you are required to have a City of Seattle business license) and meet ALL of the following three (3) factors:
- No more than 50 full-time equivalent employees;
- No more than $ 5 million annual revenue;
- And no more than two (2) locations.
Applicants who are currently evaluating an identified space, in negotiations with a possible landlord, or have signed a lease and are ready to begin planning for tenant improvement projects, will be prioritized. The timing of matching applicants with consultants will also be dependent on consultant availability and workload.
The Office of Economic Development is financing up to 10 hours of consultant work, at no cost to eligible small businesses. Applicants will be responsible for financing work that exceeds the sponsored 10 hours of consultant work.
Applicants will be notified about the status of their application within 7-10 business days of submittal.
