Waterfront – Washington Landings

Review Status

We will review the pre-design for Washington Landings on May 7, 2015.

Project Description

We are reviewing early pre-design work for the southern part of the waterfront redevelopment, approximately between Marion St and Jackson St. This area, called Washington Landings, is a partner project related to the Waterfront Seattle redevelopment. The project has three components:

  • As the Washington State Ferries (WSF) proceeds with the redevelopment of Colman Dock, the Waterfront team is studying opportunities to activate Alaskan Way with a frontage building
  • The historic Washington Street Boat Landing will be refurbished and returned to its original location at the terminus of Washington St
  • On Pier 48, the City envisions an area that could serve as a park and accommodate various events, including concerts and festivals

Since this is not a core project of the Waterfront Seattle redevelopment, we are providing recommendations only on the pre-design at this time.
