Become a CPC commissioner
Commissioners with strong ties with community are what make the CPC what it is. Click here to find out more about commissioner responsibilities, application process, and qualifications. Stipends are available for those who face an economic barrier to serving on the Commission.

Police Practices
The Police Practices Workgroup examines SPD policy, practices, and training related to police interactions with the public. Specifically, it monitors, assess, and make recommendations, as appropriate, based on diverse and representative community perspectives, available data, and best practices.

Behavioral Health Workgroup
The Behavioral Health Workgroup examines SPD policy, practices, and training related to community members in crisis. Specifically, it monitors, assess, and make recommendations, as appropriate, based on diverse and representative community perspectives, available data, and best practices.

Complainant Appeal Workgroup
The Complainant Appeal Workgroup is governed by Res 31753, which provides that the CPC will lead stakeholders in assessing the need for and developing a complainant appeal process that is consistent with employee due process rights, and provide any recommendations adopted by the stakeholder group to the Council for consideration.
