Project Description

This project provides improvements to the Jefferson Golf Course facilities, including but not limited to, an all new clubhouse and banquet room, driving range expansion to accommodate a second deck, new electric cart barn, cart path improvements, possible parking expansion and landscaping renovations.

Parks staff briefed the Golf Steering Committee (GSC) on Nov 10, on the preferred schematic design and reductions in the project scope so as to stay within the project’s budget. The revised scope includes the following elements:
  1. Clubhouse – Two-story with banquet hall, café and outdoor dining, Pro-shop, teaching space
  2. Double-deck Driving Range – improved lights and netting
  3. Modified cart barn – capacity for 40 gas carts, with the potential for future expansion and/or conversion to electric carts
  4. Modified cart paths – limited to surrounding the cart barn, Beacon Ave, 1st Tee and 18th Hole, additional path paving as an Add Alternate
  5. Modified parking plan –
    • Increase parking behind the clubhouse to 20 stalls
    • Parking enforcement along Beacon Ave
    • Reduce the parking on the short nine by half, with the remaining parking as an Add Alternate
The GSC approved the revised project scope.
