Discovery Park Lighthouse

The National Lighthouse Preservation Act provides federal agencies, community development organizations, non-profits, local and state governments the ability to acquire surplus US Coast Guard facilities from the Federal Government. Recently, the West Point Light Station was released as part of the program.

The City of Seattle Parks and Recreation Department applied for the property and was recently awarded the lighhouse in October of 2004.
