Contractor Requirements and Qualifications

All contractors who participate in HomeWise Weatherization Programs must complete the Contractor Information Form and provide:

1. Current and valid Certificate of Registration
2. Current State of Washington Unified Business Identifier (UBI) number
3. Current City of Seattle Business License
4. W-9 Form with Federal Tax Identification number
5. Employment Security Department I.D. number
6. State Excise Tax registration I.D. number
7. Valid Certificate of Liability Insurance

Additional Requirements for Single-Family Full Weatherization

All weatherization work is subject to prevailing wage requirements as explained on the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries website.

In addition, work may be subject to the wage and reporting requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act.

All HomeWise Weatherization Programs are open to eligible contractors. Contractors for Single-Family Full Weatherization must meet additional qualifications.

Women-owned, minority-owned and recognized small-business owners are encouraged to apply.
