Parking in City-Managed Garages

Welcome! The City of Seattle operates three parking garages in the city’s downtown core:

  • Seattle Municipal Tower (SMT) Parking Garage—available for public parking
  • SeaPark Parking Garage—available for public parking
  • Seattle City Hall (SCH) Parking Garageeight ADA accessible parking spaces only

If you’re looking to visit Seattle’s downtown and plan on utilizing one of the garages, please check-out all the need-to-know information below to help ensure a seamless and safe experience. 

Parking Garages

Seattle Municipal Tower (SMT) Parking Garage, 700 5th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104
This covered parking garage is located in downtown Seattle at the Seattle Municipal Tower building. The entrance is along 6th Avenue between Columbia Street and Cherry Street.

SeaPark Garage, 609 6th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104
This covered parking garage is located in downtown Seattle, next to the Municipal Court of Seattle, and with entrances on 6th Avenue and on Cherry Street.

Seattle City Hall Parking Garage, 600 4th Ave, Seattle, WA 98104
Public parking is not available at City Hall. However, eight, first-come, first-served, parking spaces for use in the City Hall garage for those with a state-issued disability placard or license plate are available.

Garage Rules
Drivers utilizing SMT and SeaPark garages should be advised of the following garage rules:

  • Drivers should park within marked stall lines   
  • ADA accessible stalls require a disabled parking permit   
  • Short-term parking spaces are limited to two hours   
  • Reserved stalls require authorization  
  • EV charging stalls are limited to charging vehicles  
  • Do not park in No-Parking Zones 
  • Park during garage operating hours  

Drivers utilizing parking at Seattle City Hall should be advised:

  • Only eight ADA/Accessibility parking spots in SCH are available to the public in the SCH garage
  • ADA accessible stalls require a disabled parking permit   
  • Drivers should park within marked stall lines   

 

City employees utilizing parking at Seattle City Hall should also be advised:

  • Short-term parking spaces are limited to 30 minutes   
  • Reserved stalls require authorization 
  • Drivers should park within marked stall lines   

Violations of Parking Rules
Parking enforcement of these rules is managed for the City by ABM Parking Services. In the event of a violation, ABM will issue a warning notice. Repeat violations of the parking rules will result in a $42 fine. If a fine is not paid within 14 business days, an additional $60 fee will be added.
