Enabling Ordinance
The Seattle Ethics and Elections Commission was established in 1991, replacing the Fair Campaign Practices Commission and the Board of Ethics. The ordinance that describes the powers, duties, and appointment of the Commissioners and the Executive Director is codified in Seattle Municipal Code (SMC) 3.70 and is on the City Clerk's web site.
