Join Seattle’s Community Assisted Response and Engagement (CARE) Department for a rewarding public service career.

The Seattle CARE Department is currently hiring Community Crisis Responders (CCR), who assist Seattle Police Department (SPD) officers in responding to non-violent, non-life-threatening 9-1-1 call events, involving persons experiencing crises or behavioral health challenges.

These first responder jobs pay between $83,520 and $118,560 per year, depending upon experience and qualifications. CCR supervisors can earn up to $128,000. In addition, these jobs offer significant training and advancement opportunities, and a generous benefits and retirement package.
