Closed for the Season

Beaches are now closed for the summer. While the weather stays warm, Seattle Parks and Recreation strongly urges park users to swim only where lifeguards are present. If you swim in a lake, please stay within 50 feet of shore and wear a lifejacket.

Swimming Beaches Schedule (PDF)

Parks offers safe, lifeguarded beaches at nine sites around the city, and we strongly recommend swimming only where lifeguards are present.

Please note: Dogs are not allowed at organized athletic fields, beaches, or children's play areas in Seattle parks, per the Seattle Municipal Code. They are welcome on leash everywhere else in our park system, and we offer 11 wonderful off-leash areas where they can romp without leashes.

LOW COST LIFE JACKET SALES

Parks and Recreation will hold sales of low cost life jackets on Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Evans Pool.
