Share the Harvest: Giving Gardens

The P-Patch program is dedicated to doing what it can on food access and making sure that community members obtain a safe, culturally acceptable, nutritionally adequate diet through a sustainable food system that maximizes community self-reliance and social justice.

P-Patchs provide space for people to grow their own food and grow food to share with food banks and feeding programs across the city through Giving Gardens within individual p-patches.  We partner with organizations such as Solid Ground's Lettuce Link program and Marra Farm project. We also partner with the Seattle Giving Garden Network to help bring together groups across the city sharing their harvests.

In addition, P-Patch staff participate on a City of Seattle interdepartmental team focused on food policy.  To learn more about the City's food policy. If you want to get involved contact the P-Patch program for opportunities within P-Patches or contact Solid Ground and Seattle Giving Garden Network. If you are a P-Patcher, check with your volunteer leadership.
