Share the Harvest: Giving Gardens

The P-Patch program is dedicated to doing what it can on food access and making sure that community members obtain a safe, culturally acceptable, nutritionally adequate diet through a sustainable food system that maximizes community self-reliance and social justice.

P-Patch gardens provide space for people to grow their own food and grow food to share with food banks and feeding programs across the city through Giving Gardens within individual p-patches. We partner with organizations such as Seattle Giving Garden Network to help bring together groups across the city sharing their harvests.

In addition, P-Patch staff participate on a City of Seattle interdepartmental team focused on food policy. To learn more about the City's food policy. If you want to get involved contact the P-Patch program for opportunities within P-Patches or contact Solid Ground and Seattle Giving Garden Network. If you are a P-Patcher, check with your volunteer leadership.
