HRIU Investigations Approach
Traditional investigations are often stressful, especially as they usually focus only on legal issues and not on the individual. HRIU takes a different approach. We recognize that investigations involve people, not just procedures. We are intentional about addressing potential biases and assumptions. Our communication is designed to encourage open, honest participation to help us gather accurate information.
We treat all participants with dignity and respect throughout the process. We use clear, neutral, and non-judgmental language. Our approach is trauma-informed, meaning we work from a strengths-based perspective that recognizes the potential impact of trauma. We’re mindful of how the investigative process itself can affect those involved and how it may influence participant responses. Our goal is to foster respectful, meaningful, and informative discussions that help us fully understand the situation.
