About Sexual Harassment
Sexual harassment is a type of harassment which can include touching, written or verbal comments, images, non-verbal behavior, or unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature. It may include quid pro quo behavior which is when someone in a position of authority directly or indirectly demands sexual favors in exchange for some benefit (such as promotion) or to avoid harm in the workplace (such as demotion). Sexual harassment does not have to be specifically about sexual behavior or directed at a specific person. For example, negative comments about women as a group may be a form of sexual harassment.
