Customer Service Counters Reopen by Appointment Only

Our Consumer Protection Division customer service counter on the 4th floor of the Seattle Municipal Tower, 700 Fifth Ave., is now open. Service is available by appointment only, Thursdays and Fridays, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Customers are required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status.

Additionally, and effective immediately, we will no longer issue licenses related to the adult entertainment (AE) industry from the City's Charles Street complex (805 S. Dearborn Street). All AE and AE manager licenses for 2020 may be renewed at our Seattle Municipal Tower location at the half-year rate ($85/entertainers, $108/managers). These licenses are set to expire Sept. 24,2021.

We will also continue the issuance of lapsed and new AE and AE manager licenses for 2021 at the half-year rate. Please Note: All applicants will need to bring a government issued photo ID and a completed Adult Entertainer/Manager Application (or complete one at the time of the appointment). New applicants will also need to bring a Fingerprint card. Note: applicants who have previously submitted fingerprints cards do not need to resubmit new one.

All applicants are also required to have a 2021 Seattle Business License Tax Certificate. Prior to making an appointment, we suggest applicants review the status of their 2021 Seattle Business License Tax Certificate.

AE regulatory licenses will only be renewed for those with a 2021 Seattle Business License Tax Certificate. For information on how to obtain or renew a business license or file related tax forms, please visit the Business License Tax webpage.
