Thank you Seattle! This project is complete.
The new playground re-opens to the public on March 30, 2011.

Construction of the new play area is complete. Due to the winter weather conditions and slope on site, Parks has kept the site closed for establishment through March 2011.

This project was generated through a Neighborhood Matching Fund (NMF) project completed in 2002. This new site addresses the visibility concerns that motivated the community to start the project.

The new play area includes a wider variety of play equipment and builds upon the natural landscape of the existing park. The implementation of the project is funded through the 2008 Parks and Green Spaces Levy.

Project Description

The park was identified in the Parks & Green Spaces Levy for the renovation of the existing play area. The focus of this project is to provide access and use improvements that will provide better site circulation, and make the park and play area more desirable to gather and play. The existing play area will be renovated and expanded as part of the new design.
