We have a variety of adult sports. Please see our current offerings below. We also have boating centers, the Amy Yee Tennis Center, the Northwest Senior Games, and a variety of community organizations we work with for leagues and games.

Softball Leagues

Seattle Parks and Recreation offers the best quality leagues in the city. Adult players and teams can choose from 25 different leagues, including co-ed, men's and women's leagues. Let's play ball!

Pre - Registration for returning teams closes 5 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017. Teams that played in a 2016 Seattle Parks and Rec league, can pre-register to save their spot in that same league for the upcoming season. Please note, half of your 2016 roster must return to be considered a returning team.  Teams have until Friday, March 3 let us know that they are returning. Team Fee payments will be accepted starting Noon, March 7, 2017.

Registration for new teams opens Tuesday, March 7, 2017. Your team can be placed on the wait list at any time by contacting, Jayson Powell - adult sports program coordinator at 206-684-7092 or email at jayson.powell@seattle.gov.  If an opening becomes available in a league, teams will be placed from this list, in order of when team captains called or emailed.

Don’t have a team? We collect free agent information and distribute this information to our team captains. Team captains will contact you directly if they need additional players. Contact at 206-684-7092 or jayson.powell@seattle.gov to be placed on our free agent list. Include your name, phone number or email, position and league or area you wish to play.

Adult Drop in Basketball 5 on 5 League

It's time to lace up your sneakers, with a competitive spirit and the love of the game. Drop in 5 on 5 team play is Saturdays at Van Asselt Community Center. Open gym from 10am to 11am, then players can sign up for team play. Sign-ups will be first come, first serve. Games will be 30 mins and will be officiated. This is an 18+ league. Men's Flag Football

Men's Football

Seattle Parks and Recreation with the support from Northwest Flag Football, is offering a spring flag football league. The season starts Sunday, March 19th and ends April 23rd. Teams are guaranteed 6 regular games with the top half of the league making playoffs. Games will be played at north and south playfield locations. The league fee is $700 per team. Spring woman's 5V5 is back! The season starts early April and runs until mid-May. Teams are guaranteed 5 regular games with the top teams making playoffs. Games will be played on Sunday afternoons on Loyal Heights (Playoffs will be at Hiawatha) Playfield. Women's Flag Football Skills Clinic

Seattle Parks and Recreation is offering a FREE flag football skills clinic and practice session led by Northwest Flag Football on Sunday, March 19th, 1pm at Hiawatha Playfield.

  • Open to all women and all skill levels. Beginners are encouraged to attend.
  • The clinic will focus on Offensive and Defensive drills and skills for 8on8 and 5on5 - semi contact w/blocking.
  • Please arrive a few minutes early to check in.
  • No equipment needed, but wear tennis shoes or cleats, and comfortable clothing.

This training program is for all skill levels and includes roller derby training with the possibility of forming teams. Participants must provide their own equipment. 60+ Mixed Doubles Tournament
Grab a partner and your paddle. Adult Sports is hosting a 60+ Mixed Doubles Tournament on April 22, 2017.  The tournament will be held at Loyal Heights Community Center. Matches are played with the best 2 out of three games to 11 points.
