We have a variety of adult sports. Please see our current offerings below. We also have boating centers, the Amy Yee Tennis Center, the Northwest Senior Games, and a variety of community organizations we work with for leagues and games.

Rollerderby

Adult Roller Derby is the fastest growing sport in the world, with over 60 leagues forming weekly, globally. Seattle Roller Derby is athletic, instructional, non-violent, a great workout and has an amazing community. Seattle Parks and Recreation has teamed up with Seattle Roller Derby to provide the first league of its kind.

Roller Derby

New roller derby classes starting January 9, 2016
Citywide Derby is at Ballard Community Center! We are partnering with One World Roller Derby. This training program is for all skill levels and includes roller derby training with the possibility of forming teams. Participants must provide their own equipment. Adult Basketball

It’s time to lace up your sneakers, with a competitive spirit and the love of the game. Basketball is back! 

We are offering a Saturday morning League in Capitol Hill

League will include:

  • 2 Divisions of Play - Upper (Competitive) and Lower (Recreational)*
  • 7 Regular Season Games
  • Playoffs - Solely Based on Team Record
  • Championship Game
  • Scorekeeper
  • Quality Referees
  • And Much More!

All participants must be at least 19 years of age and out of high school.

Flag Football

With support from Northwest Flag Football, we are offering a spring flag football league. The season starts March 6th, 2016.  Teams are guaranteed 7 regular games with the top 4 teams making playoffs. Games will be played at Hiawatha and Montlake Playfields. Women's Flag Football

Pickleball Tournament

Grab a partner and your paddle. Adult Sport's Men and Women’s Doubles Tournament is April 2, 2016. There will be a men’s’ division and a women’s division. Matches will be held at Rainier Community Center and will start at 10:00AM. The best 2 out of three games to 11 points, wins the match. Adult Bowling Tournament

Bowlers, come out with your friends for an exciting day of bowling. Seattle Parks and Recreation is conducting our first Adult Bowling Tournament. Teams of four can be any mix or match on age or gender. Cost is only $60/Team, Individual $15. The tournament champs will receive T-shirts. Shoe rental is included in the cost. Check-in begins at 4:00pm

Registration for returning teams begins Monday, February 8, 2016. Please note, half of your 2015 roster must return to be considered a returning team.  Teams have until Friday, March 4 let us know that they are returning.
Registration for new teams begins Monday, March 7, 2016. Contact Jayson Powell - adult sports program coordinator at 206-684-7092 or email at jayson.powell@seattle.gov to be place on a league’s waiting list. If there is an opening, teams will placed into the league from this list, in order of when team’s captains called or emailed.

Track and Field

Seattle Parks Preview Track and Field Masters Meet will be held in June 2016 at West Seattle Stadium. Check back in April for more information.
