Teen Programs

Youth Learning Opportunity

Seattle Parks is hiring up to 6 youth Peer Outreach Coordinators ages 16 - 22 for the Seattle Quare Arts Project, a performing arts project seeking to facilitate greatness among LGBTQ Youth of Color. The deadline for submitting an application is Monday, April 15 by 5 p.m. Find out more by downloading the Opportunity Description and the Application .

Seattle Parks and Recreation is dedicated to providing safe and welcoming spaces for all teens including LGBTQ teens.

LGBTQ Youth Basketball for ages 14 and up every Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:30 from March 12 - May 21, 2013, at the International District/Chinatown Community Center.

Awards

Seattle Parks and Recreation received the 2011 Community Partner Award from GSLEN WA (Gay Lesbian Straight Educator Network] and staff Randy Wiger received the Cultural Competency Spotlight Award for his work in creating LGBTQ Youth Programs, from the Washington Recreation and Parks Association at their awards dinner on May 3, 2012.
