Legacy Plan

Seattle Parks and Recreation (Parks) has embarked on a planning process to develop a strategic direction for the future. Questions being addressed include:
  • Are our resources deployed in the most effective manner?
  • What is the public view of our park system?
  • What are the basic services Parks provides?

With our non-profit partner, the Associated Recreation Council, we provide a variety of high quality programs for children and youth ages 3-12+. This includes preschool programs, licensed before and/or after-school care as well as all-day camps when Seattle Public Schools are closed. We also offer engaging opportunities and a safe place to go for young people during their middle-school years.

Please contact your local community center or stop by for a visit to learn more about the opportunities we provide to support positive outcomes in school and in life!

Academic Support

We also provide Community Learning Centers that serve as a place where students who are struggling find hope and opportunity. Support to students is provided through Academic, Enrichment, and Recreation offerings that create a passion for learning and a desire to explore new experiences.

Interbay Golf Center, Jefferson Park Golf Course, Jackson Park Golf Course and West Seattle Golf Course are maintained by the City of Seattle and managed by Premier Golf Centers, LLC. Whether you are a beginning golfer or a golf professional, we have a course to suit your needs.
