Schurman Rock and Glacier SlabCurrently, Schurman Rock is open and available for individual climbing during our regular business hours, Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. when not reserved by a group. Please check in at the front desk to let us know you are planning to climb. Rock Rentals Private rentals are available weekdays of operation before 4 p.m. and for two hours maximum on Saturdays and Sundays, unless other arrangements have been made. There is an additional after-hours staffing fee for summer evenings after the park closes, from 6 to 9 p.m. Generally speaking, the maximum number of people using the rock or glacier simultaneously is 12 to 15. Parks can accommodate larger groups who make arrangements ahead of time. To make reservations and special arrangements, please call 206-684-7434. For more information please download the Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions. Climbing Classes School and group climbing program instruction are available. We have thorough, safety conscious programs for the rock led by climbing specialists who enable all groups (Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, people with disabilities, school groups, youth groups, at-risk teens, and family groups) to use this wonderfully restored structure. If your group wants to schedule a class, please call 206-399-2205. Supporting Schurman RockIf you would like to support our efforts to provide fun and safe programs, please earmark a donation to “Friends of Schurman Rock” and send it to Friends of Camp Long, 5200 35th Ave. SW. All donations made to this special fund will be used to support Schurman Rock programs, gear, training and instruction. *Note: To view a PDF, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader.
