NOTICE TO FORMER EMPLOYEES OF LITTLE SHEEP SEATTLE

The Seattle Office of Labor Standards (OLS) is collecting mailing addresses of people who worked for Hot Pot Seattle, LLC dba Mongolian Hot Pot, Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, and Little Sheep Hot Pot Seattle LLC (Little Sheep) located at 609 S. Weller Street, Seattle WA 98104, between February 2, 2016 and March 15, 2020.

OLS is collecting addresses to distribute settlement checks. Please read this entire notice. If you worked for Little Sheep between February 2, 2016 and March 15, 2020, please fill out the form at www.seattle.gov/laborstandards/investigations/little-sheep-seattle-notice to provide your current contact information and mailing address that will be valid for the next several months. Please submit your information in English language characters. If that is a barrier, please call us instead of submitting the form: (206) 256-5297.

Important Information:

• Checks are not available yet.
• We cannot guarantee that everyone who worked at Little Sheep between February 2, 2016 and March 15, 2020 will receive settlement funds.
• If you only worked for Happy Lamb and not Little Sheep, you will not receive a settlement check.
• No other Little Sheep locations are affected by this legal settlement. If you only worked in Bellevue but not Seattle, you will not receive a settlement check.

Background: OLS investigated Little Sheep for wage violations in 2019. In 2020, OLS ordered payment to workers. The business filed for bankruptcy and failed to pay the amount ordered. OLS could not collect any money at that time.

Current Status: As part of the bankruptcy process, the Bankruptcy Trustee and the owners of the former Little Sheep Seattle location agreed that Little Sheep would pay a portion of the amount owed to workers, but not the full amount. OLS does not know the total amount that Little Sheep will pay or the amounts they will pay to individual workers. OLS will distribute checks to workers when those checks become available. Checks will become available in batches and workers will get payments at different times.
