A beautiful street or yard tree with a strong central leader and upright form that works well under power lines. The deep pink flower buds open to large fragrant light pink flowers a month later than other saucer magnolias.

Where to Plant:
Perfect for smaller planting strips under power lines or in small yard spaces. Not appropriate for larger yard spaces or planting strips without overhead power lines.

Leaves:
Dark green leaves of typical saucer magnolia shape and size.

Flowers:
Deep pink buds open to large fragrant light pink flowers.

Preferred Site Conditions:
Prefers well-drained soil in full sun.

Potential Problems:
No serious insect or disease problems.

  • 15 feet from house or building
  • 3 ½ feet back from the face of the curb
  • 5 feet from underground utility lines
  • 10 feet from power poles
  • 7 ½ feet from driveways (10 feet recommended)
