About

Per Governor Inslee's new sporting activity guidance, the Amy Yee Tennis Center is open as of Thursday, January 21, 2021. Please read below to learn more about operations in this new COVID-19 response phase and continue to check this page for updates on the Amy Yee Tennis Center.

Hours of Operation

As of January 21 Amy Yee Tennis Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30AM until 9:30PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00AM until 5:15PM. We will take phone reservations each day starting at 9:10AM, with indoor bookings being granted only over the phone.

Tennis Court Rentals

Indoor court reservations begin on January 21 with new safety protocols and operational guidelines. Reservations are taken at 9:10AM every morning, and pre-payment is required for court bookings. Ten courts are available with staggered court times, and our normal court block times have been adjusted to accommodate this change.  One booking per phone reservation card, per day, is allowed. New safety protocols include the following:

  • Face masks are now required on-court during play, as well as throughout the building.
  • There is a 15-minute window between reservations to clear the courts
  • Tarp doors have been removed to reduce the number of touch points
  • Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes ahead of your scheduled court time, as the front door will be locked until your court is clear and the lobby is clear to enter

As a reminder to customers with indoor court reservations, please review the following:

  • Screening and temperature checks will be taken at the door
  • Please exit through the nearest auxiliary door on the west side of the building at the conclusion of your scheduled court time
  • Water fountains, showers, lockers, and benches are still restricted. The touchless water bottle filler is available for use.
  • Bookings can only be made over the phone at (206) 684-4764

We are currently accepting outdoor court reservations Monday through Sunday from 9:10 AM - 5:15PM on all 100+ public courts in the city. Once customers pay for and receive their permit, they are required to show proof of permit either through their phone or in hard copy form when arriving at their court. Temporarily, physically posting permits is not required so as to prevent touch points and multiple trips. Permit holders are required to vacate their court 15 minutes from the conclusion of their booking. Last, private coaches and groups are to submit a return to play safety plan to be permitted for their booking.

All annual tennis reservation cards that were active during the months of our closure will be extended accordingly through the Business Service Center. These reservation cards are not needed for outdoor court bookings.

Adult and Youth Programming

All programming has been cancelled and is currently on hold until further notice. Classes that were affected by the closure have been refunded. New safety protocols and operations are being looked at to ensure that programming can resume sooner rather than later. Please stay tuned!

Drop-in Play, Tournaments, and Events

All drop-in play, tournaments, and events are currently on hold until further notice. The functionality of these activities will continue to be evaluated and will return in some capacity under new safety protocols once approved by Seattle Parks and Recreation leadership.

Private Lessons

All private lessons programmed through AYTC are currently on hold until further notice.

Joining our Team/Volunteering Opportunities

All coaching and volunteering opportunities for regularly scheduled programming are currently on hold while the Amy Yee Tennis Center responds to the City's efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The AYTC team remains hopeful for the 2021 calendar year and will continue to respond safely to all coronavirus regulations.
