What We Do

The Seattle International Affairs Advisory Board (SIAAB) serves as an advisory board to the Mayor, City Council, and Seattle's individual Sister City Associations to increase coordination, fundraising, and publicity. The Board meets once every two months for one hour (at City Hall). The composition and responsibilities of SCCC are governed by SMC 3.14.460-470.

The purpose of the SIAAB is to enhance the prominence of Seattle's international programs, ensure  alignment with Seattle's strategic development goals, increase visibility of international activities, and improve access to fundraising for the sister cities program. The SIAAB shall provide feedback on the City of Seattle's international engagement strategy and provide oversight of the City's sister cities program.
