Delridge Neighborhood - Longfellow Creek Tree Care Event

Kick off summer with Dirt Corps and Trees for Seattle at our June "Tree Care" event! As the days grow longer and brighter, help us ensure our urban forest stays healthy and vibrant for all to enjoy. Come care for your local trees, make new friends, and contribute to the well-being of our community's beautiful green spaces!

All skill levels are welcome! Please wear clothing that can get dirty, including long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. We’ll be working rain or shine, so make sure to bring sun or rain protection as needed! We’ll be providing the tools, snacks and water. Bring work gloves if you have them, and we’ll have some folks can borrow as well. We hope you’ll join us!


Meadowbrook Pond: "Pride at the Pond" Tree Care Event

All are welcome to join Dirt Corps and Trees for Seattle at June's "Pride at the Pond" event! We'll continue our efforts to enhance biodiversity in the Meadowbrook Pond ecosystem by focusing on the North side, where we'll remove invasive ivy and spread nourishing mulch. In the spirit of Pride, feel free to dress in your most colorful outfit or simply bring your colorful self!

South Delridge Neighborhood - Webster Pond Tree Care Event

Join Seattle Tree Stewards and Dirt Corps for our July restoration event at Webster Pond! We will be removing invasive weeds and trash in order to keep this wonderful greenspace a place for all to enjoy (beavers included)!

Community and Longfellow Creek supporters are joining Dirt Corps and Trees for Seattle in removing weeds and keeping the forest happy along Longfellow Creek. This event is your chance to meet your neighbors and help support this beautiful section of the Longfellow Creek Trail!

Meadowbrook Pond: August Tree Care Event
Saturday, August 17, 10am - 1pm
Meet at the end of 36 Ave NE near the address 10700 36th Ave NE, and we'll walk into the park to our worksite together.

Seattle Tree Stewards and Dirt Corps are hosting a Tree Care Event at Meadowbrook Pond! Volunteers are invited to join us in continuing vegetation management (removing aggressive weeds) at multiple locations throughout Meadowbrook Pond.  Our work will focus on clearing ivy and blackberry so other plants can thrive and help keep the paths clear so folks can enjoy their travels around the Pond.

The Green Seattle Partnership is a collaboration between the City of Seattle, community groups and non-profits, businesses, schools, and thousands of volunteers working together to restore and actively maintain the City's forested parklands.
