The Office for Education was formed in 1990 to administer the Families and Education Levy. Today, it also oversees the Seattle Youth Violence Prevention Initiative.
Our staff is led by Director Holly Miller, who reports directly to the Mayor. We are housed within the City's Department of Neighborhoods in the Seattle Municipal Tower.
