Quality Practice and Professional Development

The Department of Education and Early Learning provides a variety of educational offerings and support for early learning providers and teachers who work at Seattle Preschool Program, SPP Pathway, and ECEAP preschool sites as well as child care centers and homes serving children from birth to age 12 that are contracted with the department. Our professional development team offers workshops, on-site consultation, coaching and technical assistance to our funded partners.

Early Learning Institute

The Department of Education and Early Learning also hosts two Early Learning Institutes annually. These Institutes are open to teachers, caregivers, aspiring teachers, home visitors, and anyone working in the early learning field as we grow and cultivate quality early learning practices in Seattle.
