The Board of Park Commissioners meet monthly on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.The meetings are held at the 100 Dexter Avenue North, Ken Bounds Boardroom, Seattle unless otherwise noted.
The Seattle Board of Park Commissioners is a volunteer advisory board established by ordinance. The Board consults with and makes recommendations to City Council, the Mayor, and the Superintendent regarding the Parks and Recreation Department's policies for the planning, development and use of the City's park and recreation facilities.
Who We Are
The Board of Park Commissioners is a nine-member citizen advisory board, serving three-year terms. The composition of the Board is four members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council, four members appointed by City Council, and one member appointed from the Get Engaged Program.
