Paid Family Care Leave Bea's Law

Paid family care leave Bea's Law provides eligible City employees up to four weeks (160 hours) to grieve the loss of a child, or a spouse or domestic partner from childbirth or complications related to childbirth. You are eligible for paid family care leave for Bea's Law if:

  • You have been in a regularly appointed position and/or temporary benefits-eligible assignment for at least six months, and
  • You have experienced a qualifying loss
  • You have not exhausted your PFCL maximum hours
