Fairmount Playground Play Area Renovation

Updated: February 15, 2022

Early 2022

Seattle Parks and Recreation opened Fairmount Play area on February 4, 2022.

The renovated play area includes play structures for children ages 2-5 and 5-12. The equipment features multiple slides, overhead ring trek, small net climber, suspension bridge places to hop and balance, plus fun ways to get up and down. The two structures include accessible transfer platforms. Two, new accessible play ramps have been installed. A future pavement renovation project will update adjacent paths to meet current accessibility standards and connect the north play ramp with a new accessible sidewalk.
