City Light Support for Large Businesses

The Business Customer Services group and the Electrical Service Engineering office work with the largest commercial and industrial customers in our service territory.

As a large business, you have unique business requirements. Your mission contributes to an innovative business environment that supports economic development in the area. Access to outage, energy-efficiency, reliability and resiliency information help protect your investments and support the customers your serve.

The Business Customer Services group is dedicated to excellent customer service, advocacy, and tailored solutions for business customers. Our goal is to serve all City Light business customers, from the University of Washington, named one of the greenest campuses in the United States, to T-Mobile Field, the first all-LED baseball field in Major League Baseball, to school districts from Shoreline to Burien, and local manufacturers and small businesses with access to information about all the services available to them.

City Light Support for Small and Medium Businesses

Small and medium businesses look to the utility for services that go beyond just affordable and reliable electricity. City Light offers a variety of resources to address the needs of small and midsize businesses. Our Customer Engineering group assistance with new construction and service modifications. The Customer Energy Solutions division offers incentives to help businesses achieve their energy efficiency goals and reduce their bills. Funding is available for lighting and other equipment.

The City Light Business Services Center (BSC) provides tailored attention to small and medium businesses inquiries. We recognize that trying to navigate all of the avenues of a large utility can be daunting for business owners with limited time and resources. The Business Services Center offers a concierge-type service for small and medium sized business who need to engage with several different division of the utility. Whether you need help with a single service or a multiple-step process, customer service representatives in the BSC will serve as a single point of contact to ensure that you reach your goal.

As a City Light business customer, you may need to take on a rewiring project, install a new meter, request a security light in a dark alley or just better understand planned and unplanned outages in our neighborhood. The Business Service Center is available to find the answers the question you may have, whenever those questions arise.
