Waterfront Briefings

Our ongoing review of the waterfront redevelopment includes Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects like the Overlook Walk and partner projects like Colman Dock and the Pike Place Market Waterfront Entrance. The waterfront team has also briefed us on several overarching themes related to these projects, including sustainability, wayfinding, public art, tribal presence, and the overall project.

Since these topics relate to each CIP project we review, the briefings help us understand the broader vision for each component of the waterfront redevelopment. As we continue reviewing the waterfront capital projects through the schematic design and design development phases, we will consider how each reflects and supports the City's overall goals in each topic area.

We anticipate future updates on these topics and an upcoming briefing on accessibility.
