One Northbound Lane on Westlake Avenue North Closed on Saturday, June 8th from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

On Saturday, June 8th, Seattle Transportation is scheduled to close one northbound lane on Westlake Avenue North from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction. This lane closure is necessary so that crews can remove overgrown vegetation that is affecting the use of the western sidewalk along this stretch of roadway. This sidewalk is the primary pedestrian route along Westlake Avenue North during construction of the West Lake Union Improvement Project.

Earlier in the year, as part of the West Lake Union Improvement Project, one of the two southbound lanes was closed on Westlake Avenue North. Crews will be shifting vehicles traveling in the southbound lane into one of the two existing northbound lanes. This will allow crews access to the western side edge of the street without prohibiting southbound travel.
